Hashtags (or keywords) are a great way to reach millions of potential consumers. Some hashtags host millions of photos while others may have little to none. Follow these general tips when selecting hashtags for your photos.
- Mix both short and long-tail keywords to reach the most consumers
- Use 11-30 hashtags per post
- Mix popular and less popular hashtags on each post
- Use niche keywords and related keyword searches
- Use active hashtags (For example, be sure the last post isn't from 5 years ago)
- Keep hashtag groups in your phone's notes
- add or remove an "s" at the end of hashtags. Counts as two separate hashtags.
